Supper Clubs & Wine Tasting Evenings in Wells
Special evenings in Heritage Courtyard
Supper Clubs and Wine Tasting Evenings
Some of the most enjoyable nights at The Pressoir, a few steps from Wells Cathedral. These are selected special evenings rather than conventional dinner service: good food, interesting wine, and David on hand to talk you through every glass.
Dates
When our special evenings take place
Supper clubs, wine tastings and themed dinners take place on selected dates through the year. Every date is announced in advance, so it is worth keeping an eye on What's On at The Pressoir. Outside those events, The Pressoir does not run a conventional evening restaurant service.
What to expect on the night
-
Supper clubs
Usually a multi-course set menu, cooked by our chef Daniel with seasonal, local produce and available with a flight of wines chosen by David Schroetter.
Numbers are limited and evenings are by booking only, so they tend to fill up quickly.
-
Wine tasting evenings
David opens a selection of wines to try and talks through where each one comes from and why he chose it. Having grown up among the vineyards of the Loire Valley, he is at his happiest introducing people to a bottle they might not have found on their own.
Everything he pours comes from our wine shop in Wells.
How to book
Special evenings are by booking only
To book, or to ask about a private evening, email David directly. Supper clubs are separate from ordinary daytime table bookings at our restaurant in Wells, so please use the email rather than the booking form.
Members of our Reserve Club receive the newsletter a week early and get first access to reservations, along with 10% off and complimentary seasonal tastings. Places are capped at fifty and the club is currently full.
